Amber on Ice

27 Aug -- View out over the sea ice towards the mountains. Unfortunately, we couldn't see Mt. Erebus the active volcanoe across the horizon. This was taken at about 2pm so still not a lot of light. Ground temps were -10F with -40F windchill. I don't know what the windchill was at the top. If we stopped too long I would get cold, better to keep moving.
