Amber on Ice

16 Nov -- The Antarctic Scavenger bird "Skua" arrived back in town a few weeks ago. These birds are notorious for dive bombing people as they carry food back from the Galley to their dorms. My co-worker was attached yesterday. Apparently they sit and wait all day and are quite tuned in to plates, trays, and saran wrap. I have taken to using tupperware only. Oh, and if a bird attacks you, one is not allowed to hit/swat at it in return. A ridiculous fine can be levied for injuring any type of wildlife in Antarcitca.
