ANDRILL

A science group here, ANDRILL, also known as the Antarctic Geological Drilling Program broke a new record last week when it drilled to over 1000m. The Program has targeted reaching a depth of 1200m. The scientists are hoping to look at the change in the Ice Sheet and Ice Shelf behaviors over the last 7-million years with hopes of better understanding how Antarctica's ice mass will respond to future climate changes.
