90 Degrees South

Jan 9-15 I went to 90 degrees South a.k.a. The South Pole. I went down there to crosstrain with my co-worker Lynette the Summer-Winter EHS Coordinator for the South Pole Station. Lynette and her husband Jason, a Research Analyst at South Pole, were due to come to McMurdo for 1-week of Rest-RElaxation (R/R) before they hunker down at SP for the winter season. They will end up doing about 14-months of Ice-time at the Pole before they leave next November. A pic. of the C-130 Hercules, operated by the ANG out of New York State. These planes land on skis at SP. And, a pic of the International Terminal.
