Amber on Ice

Last weekend the Polar Sea, a US Coastguard Vessel here to break the ice for our shipping channel, took 400 lucky winners out on cruises of the harbor. I was one out of 700 or so who put their name in the lottery. There were 2 sailings one at 8a and one at 2p. They had 200 pax on ea. sailing plus an alternate list of 200. Um yeah, I didn't make any of those lists. So I was one of the 100+ unlucky winners. Now that's some bad luck, eh? True Murphy blood or what?
