Amber on Ice

This past Saturday was our High School Prom. Yes, at times McMurdo does feel a bit like high school. It turned out to be a fun dance party, great tunes from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Gallagher's Pub was packed with people. The NAVCHAPs -- Navy Cargo Handler and Port Group -- are here and have flooded the population. The weekend prior we had NAVCHAPs and Coasties (Coast Guard) in town and every bar did record numbers. Allegedly there were a few close-call rumbles between the Navy-Coast Guard. See, truly high school-esque.
